TREVLENN
The afternoon sun beamed down onto Refitwa and made her silky feathers shine. She flew close to the canopy to keep track of how far she had already flown, occasionally getting a glance of herself in a reflection in a pool of water. The day was so pleasant for flying she felt as though she could've been in a dream; the sun shining down its happy rays and the sea of leaves below giving off a pleasant smell of freshness.
She thought about stopping again, just to splash her cuts in some cool water. They had mostly healed but one or two were still stinging. As gracefully as a swan, she glided down through the trees and flew beneath the canopy for while until finding a large pond of water. As she washed her cuts, she noticed some of the little creatures around her, all staring curiously in awe at her perfected features. She gave a smile in reply and a few of them shied away, others wanted to get a closer look. Rare as her beauty was, she gestured to the creatures that she needed to move on. Reluctantly they let her go. With a small run she opened her wings and was soon back in the air, gracefully caressing the ground with the wind from each beat of her wings. She decided to stay below the canopy now, being entertained from having to weave through the trees.
The sun grew harder to see, so with a sigh Refitwa decided to find a safe spot where she could rest that night.
Icalave, keeping his distance, followed the ever growing crowd around Genera to the Grande Stack. He had always been curious as to why it was named this but had always decided to keep his mouth shut just in case the question turned out to be an insult. Nature Wolves, especially Earth, tended to get easily upsettend when their judgements were questioned.
The crowd soon became so large that some of the guards were forced to attack to keep them away from Genera. But she thought differently. She loved all the attention. It made her feel like a princess, although she wasn't quite one.
They reached the inner gate to the Grande Stack and Icalave went to go away now that his task of getting her home safely was complete. But he was not yet able to get his way.
"Icalave! Icalave! Over here. This way. I want you to meet my father," Genera shouted over all the crowd's noise. Two of the guards heard this and went to retrieve Icalave, who was still trying to get away. He was guided in with Genera at his side while the crowd was left behind at the gate.
"Do you like the garden?" asked Genera, turning a slight shade of red with a blush.
Icalave turned his head away and replied with the most polite tone he could," yes, it's very nice."
"I designed most of it myself." Icalave didn't want to continue the conversation and said nothing. Genera's expression turned glum as she read his body language. They walked in silence through the garden towards the Grande Stack's big entrance doors. The doors were finely carved with precise detail. Beautiful designs covered it and some pictures that Icalave could not pick out what story they made. Soon they were inside, the heavy doors seemed to have swung by themselves. But what they had expected behind the doors was not so.
Two Nature Wolves were in battle stance, each glowing green with the strength of their power. One of them appeared to be of Earth, the other Flora. Earth attacked first, sending a huge wave of stones after him to come pelting down on his opponent. Flora defended by producing a huge wall of vines in front of himself with fast paced speed. Earth jumped onto the vine wall but immediately let go as the vines blindly grabbed for him. Earth produced a huge rock wall behind were he thought Flora was and also on both sides. Flora's vine wall fell which was replaced quickly by a rock wall. Vines shot of the top of the closed space and the rock walls closed in. Vines shot everywhere out of Flora's panic and one of them caught Earth's leg and was immediately covered by more. Flora's head popped out of the now tightly closed walls and was only able to get another paw out. Earth was being snaked up by vines that squeezed him hard. Each opponent had the look of death on their faces.
"ENOUGH!" Boomed an incredibly loud and deep voice that echoed through the hall from the opposite end. Both Wolves immediately released each other, each nodding to each other in congratulations.
Panting, Icalave stood in ready stance, not realising that this had been for the Neturrele's entertainment. Icalave's confusion showed and Genera giggled.
"Welcome home Genera! where have you been? I was so worried about you," called out the same booming voice, but softer with affection.
"I was up in the mountains because I had heard that the land was more fertile up there and I thought maybe I could practice my skills up there," Genera called out, always staying as close as she would dare to Icalave," but I got caught up in Icalave's hunt of the Wind Wolves and I must have put him off because he almost attacked me," the Neturrele's face turned hostile towards Icalave, hostile with anger," but he ended up saving me and defeated both of them." The Neturrele's face turned from hostile to a relieving grin of thanks. Icalave was grateful she had left out some parts.
"Oh thank you dear Ice Wolve. You have saved my daughter. How can I ever repay you and your kind?"
"You can let me go home, the forest is no place for an Ice Wolve," Icalave replied, following it with a bow. Genera's face filled with sadness. She obviously didn't want to let him go.
"Oh but please," Genera insisted," you have saved life, please let me repay you for this!"
"You already have," Icalave whispered in her ear. Her face turned even more saddened. "Now I must go. Thank you for your generous hospitality dear Neturrele." He turned towards the door, which swung open themselves, and bounded out through the garden, out through the inner gate and headed North-West.
Genera watched him leave. Tears were starting to form in her eyes. But her father lead her away to keep her preoccupied with the celebrations of her return.
